I am using Mac OS Mojave, Unity 2018.2.14f1 Personal, and an Xbox One controller. I am just trying to get some response from the triggers with the calls below but I have never seen this statement print anything but 0. I have tried every joystick axis (including 3 and 9, which it seems like what I should expect to be responsible for trigger input). I have every other button and joystick working appropriately.

I never tried this before upgrading to Mohave. Also, I have my own inputs defined as 'LT1' and 'RT1' and have them defined as such in code. I can get a response from every other button and joystick on the controller. I have tried multiple Xbox One controllers which I know have working triggers. This is a snippet I am using to try to receive the input, none of which returns any response for setting LT1 and RT1 to any axis in the input manager. Is there something I am doing wrong?

I finally made some progress! With the https://github.com/360Controller/360Controller/releases driver installed, if I plug my controller into my MacBook via USB, the left trigger responds in Unity on the 5th axis! The triggers return to being unresponsive when I unplug the wired connection, and the 5th axis returns to responding to the d-pad. It's like controller is outputting some value that Unity can't read when the driver is not in use.
