    +Rikki Starrett Had the same issue with my GT6 even purchased a new disc and still no play the issue is the PS3 Hard Drive ..I had it wiped clean deleted ..now the Game works fine ! after months of headaches and no play ..GT6 is the best game period and I refuse to buy a PS4 to play ..have all the gear .. Steering wheel pedals chair ..AMG F1 Mercedes ...and F1 Ferrari ...online play is not missed ....

    They aren't going to fix it because despite GT being the most successful game franchise EVER on PlayStation, Polyphony Digital also happen to be completely detached from their player base - they don't give a shit any more. They've intentionally made GT6 a nightmare to even try to play in order to force us away from it to buy GT Sport.
    You'll notice that as soon as GT went online (GT5) the game was a poor shadow of the games before it, with the series peaking at GT4 (a glorious game).
    They switch off the servers very early and basically kill of the games.
    They added a ridiculous XP levelling system for GT5 meaning it is now impossible to play for all but the most ardent of gamers willing to grind endlessly to level 40, and they screwed up GT6's updates system meaning it too is impossible to play without researching.
    A simple update at the end of GT5 to remove the XP would have gave that game longevity offline.
    A simple fix at the end of GT6 online to correct the updating process would have also gave that game longevity.
    But why bother giving the games longevity? They want you to buy the new game.

Additional features in the Open Lobby

  • Time Trial, Drift Trial, and Free Run have been added to the Race Type option within Room Settings of the Event Settings screen.
  • It is now possible to Filter by Performance, even when Car Selection Method is set to Filter by Make or Filter by Category.
  • It is now possible to select Karts in one-make races held on weather-enabled tracks.
  • Players can now check regulation settings in the confirmation popup dialogue before entering a room.

Sale of racing gear in individual colours

  • The sale of Racing Gear has been changed from full colour sets to individual colours. Some of the pricing for racing gear has changed accordingly.

Kart adjustments options expanded

  • Traction Control is now available to adjust in the Driving Options. Skid Recovery Force is also now available.
  • Brake Balance is now available to adjust in Machine Settings. Only the rear can be adjusted in Normal Karts, while both the front and rear can be adjusted in Shifter Karts.
