If my mobo box says the S/N is G8MCAJ0672 and ASUS Tech Support said my MOBO is damaged and the serial number they gave me is G8LCAJ0672 are these the same? I thought the MCA was newer than the LGA and they said they had the S/N on all the correspondence and there is no serial number on their emails. Windows 10 oem dell iso download 64. Just want to know if its the same board. After some research, apparently this is natural, and is the way of things nowadays. Is there a way to find out the Windows serial number if I ever come to a point of wanting to re-install fresh Windows without having a buy a new copy? Thank you in advance.
Serial Number Idm
I can't seem to find the serial number of this board there's a sticker with a barcode and a number below it on the side with the graphics card slots, but the promotion website claims that it is not 'a valid serial number'. I also tried looking for it with 'wmic' from both 'wmic baseboard get serialnumber' and 'wmic (someother thing it could've been) get serialnumber', neither of those worked on the website. The serial from 'wmic baseboard get serialnumber' is the same that stuff like belarc advisor gives, and is incorrect.
Is the promotion website broken? Or is it on the other side of motherboard (it's not easily accessible for me)? Could it be under my GPU? Where is it supposed to be?
